Privacy notice
How we handle personal data on this website, in accordance with the DIFC Data Protection Law (DIFC Law No. 5 of 2020). Last updated: 20 October 2026.
Who is responsible
The controller of your personal data is Phalanx Technologies Ltd, Innovation One, Dubai International Financial Centre, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (commercial licence CL13853).

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as our processing does not require one.
What we process, why, and on which basis

Comments are public: anyone visiting the tutorial can read them and see your pictures. Please don't include personal data you don't want published, such as faces, addresses or confidential project details.
Providing data is voluntary and not required by law or contract. If you don't provide it, we can't reply to your message, add you to course updates or publish your comment.
We do not use your data for any other marketing than the course updates you sign up for, we do not sell it, and we do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
What we don't do
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. Fonts are served from our own server.
The tutorial read counter and the installer download counter only store anonymous totals. To avoid counting the same visit twice, your browser keeps a small flag in its session storage, which is deleted when you close the tab. The install count on the home page is fetched through our own server, so no visitor data is passed to the Rhino Package Manager.
Who receives your data
Netlify, Inc. hosts this website and, as our processor, stores form submissions and tutorial comments.
Our email provider receives contact form notifications so we can reply.
Google (YouTube) receives your IP address only if you choose to play the demo video, which loads from youtube-nocookie.com after you click it.
Meta (WhatsApp) processes your data under its own terms if you choose to contact us on WhatsApp.
Transfers outside the DIFC
Our providers operate servers outside the DIFC, including in the United States. Where a destination is not recognised by the DIFC Commissioner of Data Protection as providing an adequate level of protection, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards under Article 27 of the DIFC Data Protection Law, namely standard data protection clauses in our providers' data processing agreements. You can request a copy of these safeguards at cocodrilo@phalanx-tech.com.
Your rights
Under the DIFC Data Protection Law you have the right to:
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing that took place before;
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected, and have data erased;
- restrict or object to processing, including processing based on our legitimate interests;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- not be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing.
To exercise a right, email cocodrilo@phalanx-tech.com, use our contact form or message us on WhatsApp. This is free of charge and needs no account. We respond within one month; for complex or numerous requests we may extend this by up to two further months and will tell you why.
Complaints
You can lodge a complaint with the Commissioner of Data Protection of the Dubai International Financial Centre. You may also apply to the DIFC Courts for compensation if you suffer damage as a result of a contravention of the law. We'd appreciate the chance to address your concern first, so please feel free to contact us directly.
